Surveillance Cameras

Surveillance Cameras are closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras used to transmit a video, and in some cases, the audio signal to a receiver. The camera system communicates with monitors or recorders through a wired or wireless network. It is called “closed-circuit” to imply that the access to the content is only available to a specific user and receiver.

The system depends basically on two factors: The cameras’ placement on strategic locations and the remote monitoring. Surveillance cameras are used primarily for monitoring and security purposes, overseeing homes, stores, banks, businesses, and more. Security companies now offer an array of products, such as indoor security cameras, designed to keep an eye on family members or to protect goods or assets inside a home or business. While, on the other hand, outdoor security cameras are weatherproof, alerting of the presence of a possible threat within the perimeter of a property. Some surveillance cameras are available in affordable wireless DIY kits because most of the traditional wired CCTV cameras require professional installation.

Business surveillance requires more sophisticated equipment than a home would and remains a more expensive option. Companies provide professional or certified installations for the more complex surveillance systems that involve a low voltage wiring set up.
